Admissions Policies & Procedures

For years Clinical Somatics Education™ has been heralded by body workers, physical therapists, chiropractors and physicians for its ability to unlock the mind/body link to pain. In keeping with this unique modality's wide range of applications and interest, the Somatic Systems Institute's Admissions office strives to create and maintain a diverse population of students. We eagerly seek out candidates of differing backgrounds - even those without typical experience for somatic work. A student might come from a unique occupation which perfectly prepares them for the somatic perspective, even if they've never worked in the field before. Over the years, students have included high school teachers, lawyers, and computer programmers as well as those professionals more traditionally drawn to our training like massage therapists or biofeedback practitioners. A brief sample of the variety of students that have trained in Clinical Somatic Education™ practitioner training programs include:

  • Massage Therapists
  • Chiropractors
  • Lawyers
  • High School Teachers
  • Biofeedback Practitioners
  • Yoga Instructors
  • Physical Therapists
  • Exercise Scientists
  • Personal Trainers
  • College Professors
  • Feldenkrais Practitioners
  • Rolfers
  • Trager Practitioners
