Almost everyone can enjoy hips and shoulders closer to the limitless freedom and fluidity young children do — even people who think they have irreversible problems.  Featuring the crowd favorite known as "Scapula Scoops", this class will teach all people and body types the fundamentals to achieving real ease and the grace of an athlete.  It will also provide people with painful shoulder, hip, and back conditions the tools they need to heal and improve.

Back Relief Workshop

Tuesday, December 21, 2010, 12:30pm

There is a simple reason for the high incidence of lower back pain...we have never been taught how to maintain sensory motor self-awareness. Low back pain is commonly diagnosed and treated as a structural problem requiring surgery, medication, or physical therapy. This somatic workshop treats back pain as a functional problem requiring sensory awareness retraining. You will lie on the floor as you are guided through slow, gentle movements designed to reawaken feeling and control over lower back, neck, and shoulder muscles. There is no stretching or force.
